- In the quest of the Polytechnic to ensure the conduct of credible and successful examinations, candidates are reminded of the following regulations:
- Candidates shall report at the examination Hall/Room 30 MINUTES before the time fixed for the beginning of the examination and shall occupy the place assigned to them by the invigilator.
- No candidate shall enter the Examination Hall/Room 30 MINUTES after the examination paper has been given out or leave until ONE HOUR after the start of the examination.
- Candidates (continuing students) are to have in their possession their identity cards as these shall be inspected by the invigilators before candidates are allowed to take the examinations.
- First year students are to come along with their registration slip (MIS forms) with a passport size picture fixed on it and a national Identity card or national health insurance or passport or voters Identity cards for inspection and identification before they be allowed to write the examinations.
- Students who have misplaced their identity cards can acquire a new one by paying the required amount at the Cash Office and obtain a new card at the ICT office.
- No excuse shall be taken for the breach of items 4, 5 and 6 above.
- Candidates shall not take programmable calculators, mobile phone, books, papers or any unauthorized written information of any kind to the examination Hall/Room unless they are specially required to do so.
- Candidates are to use their index numbers throughout the examinations. Under no circumstances shall candidates use their names.
- Candidates may leave the Examination Hall/Room temporarily only with the express permission of the invigilator.
- Any candidate leaving the examination Hall/Room intending to return shall be accompanied, while outside by an attendant appointed for that purpose. Every necessary precaution shall be taken by the invigilator including physical search of the candidate before he/she leaves the Examination Hall/Room and on his/her return. The maximum time the candidate can be away shall be indicated by the invigilator.
- No communication between candidates are permitted during the examination. A candidate may attract the attention of the invigilator by raising his/her hand.
- At the end of each examination, candidates should not take away any used or unused book or any material supplied for the examination. Candidates are to remain seated until all the answer booklets are collected.
- Candidates are reminded that the Polytechnic frowns on any form of examination malpractice and anyone caught engaged in such act will be severely punished.
- On behalf of the Rector and the Academic Board, the Academic Affairs Division wishes all candidates success in the re-sit examinations.
