In a move to improve student convenience and enhance the learning environment, the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has extended WiFi connectivity and installed sockets at the Summer Hut. This initiative, spearheaded by the SRC under the leadership of President Emmanuel Akuffo, Vice President Simon Osabo Asamoah, Project Officer Emmanuel Nze Garvin, Estate Committee Secretary Samuel Akwasi Som Afful and all the Members, Obed Amoh Sakyi, Anokye Shadrack, Job Osei and Emmanuel Mensah aims to provide a more conducive space for students to study, collaborate, and access digital resources.
The Summer Hut has long been a popular relaxation spot on campus, but limited access to power and internet connectivity posed challenges to students seeking to utilize the area for academic and personal development purposes. The WiFi expansion and installation of multiple power outlets now offer students greater flexibility for using their devices, attending virtual meetings, and engaging in group studies without interruptions.
This development reflects the SRC’s commitment to addressing the needs of students and investing in initiatives that promote academic success. Students have already expressed their excitement and gratitude for the project, highlighting how it will positively impact their productivity and campus experience.
